We saw such a great example of Wonderful parenting. Castle steps up as a Father and takes the time while preparing for a fun party to sit down with Alexis and look her in the eye and give her 100% of his attention. I adored this episode and still rank it right up there in the top 10 - 20! Of course, we got the unforgettable, "You small like cherries," moment but I also loved the story line with the egg that Alexis and her friend were parenting. I loved how Kate stepped up and took care of it when Castle had to leave and that was also another awesome example of parenting. Castle did not let the girls talk him out of calling the parents of the drunk girl after he picked them up from the party. He held his ground and did the right thing and I was literally cheering for him in that moment.
Throughout the series, there were many moments when I felt the writers used Castle's character to set a fine example of parenting and it was made even more special because he was a single dad.

Nicely said, nathanfan. "You smell like cherries" is one of my very favorite moments from Castle.
