Sent from my SM-N910V using proboards That's my plan! But she's only six and everyone I've asked about them thinks that I should wait until she's about 8 or 9. We're reading some other series right now. I might read her the summary for the first HP book by the end of the summer and see what she thinks.

Good call.
It's kind of unfortunate that many kids these days may or may not have read the books but they kind of take a derogatory attitude about Harry Potter. I always tell them straight up, that's because you haven't read the books. The books are better. Only one kid in my class of sixth graders had read the books last year. I rectified that immediately and got several of them hooked.
