Well, Will Beal was one of Castle's best writers IMO. I'm going looking for the correct episode!

Will Beall wrote so many of my favorite episodes but this picture is a tough one to place.
I could make some guesses but I think I'll wait and see what others think.

To answer the questions before my guess on the episode: 2. The person who is talking in this scene is Roy Montgomery. 3. The person who Roy is talking to is Kate. 4. Montgomery is telling Kate that if she wants Castle out, then that is followed by one of the best character lines ever. MONTGOMERY: We speak for the dead. That’s the job. We are all they’ve got, once the wicked rob them of their voices. We owe them that. But we don’t owe them our lives.
BECKETT: He said that we can’t win this.
MONTGOMERY: He’s right. I’ve spent most of my life walking behind this badge and I can tell you this for a fact. There are no victories. There’s only the battle. And the best that you can hope for is that you find someplace where you can make your stand. If this is your spot? I will stand with you. Episode 24 of season 3 - Knockout |

Awesome, tefla! I thought it was Montgomery talking to Kate but I really couldn't remember which conversation it was.
