Dmax's 'Spiral Bound' is also fantastic. I have read it plus the 'insert' chapters several times. Each chapter [sometimes several chapters] examines the episodes from 1.01 through 5.24 and won several FanFic writing awards for its brilliance. Such an amazing writer...from story concept though episode theme development written with elegantly expressive and powerful word selection. An incredibly examination of the emotions of the Castle-Beckett relationship!
