I figured it was time to finish this one and get on with the next but it turns out that it wasn't the episode I was thinking it was.
I know Alexis' boyfriend is Ashley and he came to the precinct to ask Castle if he'd intercede with Alexis for him, getting her to reconsider braking up. Ashley asked Castle if he'd ever been in love with someone determined to push him away.
The problem is I can't recall which episode it was from. HELP!
